He is writing a letter of appreciation to peers at Bentley High School in Lafayette, California. Through a student club, the Bay-Sudan Connection, students at Bentley raised scholarship funds to send Agau and five other Sudanese refugees to two top-secondary schools in Kenya.

Safe drinking water is not guaranteed, so locals are forced to dig 5-10 feet into the river bed
Food Distribution Center, Zone One
  Once every 15 days, refugees line up to receive food ration consisting of 3-6 kilograms of dried corn (possibly from the Dakotas) or wheat flour but not much else
